Conceived in partnership with Stakeholder Democracy Network's CMAP team, and members of the community from Okrika Waterfront, an informal settlement in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, the Media Centre was all about helping marginalised groups in the city find their voice.

Article 25 ran a series of workshops with community members to identify the key facilities that should be provided at the centre, and discussed construction materials, architectural styles, as well as operation and maintenance of the centre.

The workshops informed the design brief development, and proposals were taken through to the detail design stage for the Port Harcourt Media Centre.
